Meet the nine young crabs and their teacher, each with their own distinctive personality, interests, and hiding places. Learn about the historic buildings, parks, shops, galleries, and restaurants you'll see along the way.
Based on "Follow the Fiddlers", an exhibit of ten sculptures of fiddler crabs created by the Bluffton Chamber of Commerce, this adventure book, with sections for young children, parents, teachers, and other interested visitors is designed to appeal to explorers of all ages. There is something here to captivate the kid in everybody!

Over the course of a month, she lost her job, turned 50 and was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Yet, all through it she persevered and, with the help of her family, her friends and her faith, found a way to celebrate.

Mining her experiences for universal truths, Robinson let us in on her secrets, including the power of prayer, the miracle of divine appointments, the importance of journaling and the pleasures of frosty pink lip gloss. Meet Katherine
From Indiana to Lowcountry Living
Born and raised in Indiana, Katherine Robinson departed the Midwest in the early 1980's and called the west coast of Florida home for 30+ years. After working as a Human Resources Director for many years, she moved to South Carolina to become the Human Resources Director for the Town of Bluffton. She got the idea for the Crabs on Calhoun when the Hilton Head Island-Bluffton Chamber of Commerce Leadership Class project in 2015 was placing bronze fiddler crabs in Old Town Bluffton. Katherine was enchanted with the bronze sculptures and decided to bring them to life with their story.
As a new retiree, she is excited to launch The Crabs on Calhoun, bless others through On The Half Shell Creations and be open to possibilities that abound to encourage and help others. Front porch chats with a cup of tea and happiness can be served anytime.
